My First Chanel! | Rouge Lipsticks in Maggy & Libre
Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Color in "62 Libre" (left)
Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour in "436 Maggy" (right)
The Rouge Allure Velvet Matte lipsticks are one of the most creamy matte lipstick formulas I have ever tried. It was funny, when I went to check out at the Chanel counter one of the Sales Associates said I would love the product as it's the creamist matte formula on the market. I would not be surprised if that were true as the formula is fantastically creamy. The shade "Libre" is a wonderfully neutral pink-nude, so right up my alley in the neutrals department!
The Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating lipstick is shiny and hydrating. While the shade isn't the most summery of shades, I find the formula perfect for year-round wear; keep your pout moisturized during the dry season in Winter and nice and shiny and supple during the warm Summer season. This shade, Maggy, has become one of my favs. It's one of my 'edgy' neutral shades (if you can really call it edgy). It's a nude-brown with almost a hint of purple. It gives off a shiny, balm-like look to the lips and feels as moisturizing as it looks.
I'm wearing "Maggy" on the lips and the Viseart "Tryst" palette on the eyes (for an overview and thoughts on the Tryst palette, please see this post!"
